March can certainly bring a blockbuster or two (“Alice in Wonderland” hit the ball out of the park in 2010). And this March will bring us “Hunger Games,” which is likely to score. But for the weekend of March 9, it’s “21 Jump Street” or nothing. Starring Channing Tatum in his eight-millionth film of the year, and who’d-have-thunk-it Oscar nominee Jonah Hill, “21 Jump Street” is a remake of the old TV show in which they play unimpressive cops who are assigned to go undercover in a high school. (Whoever thought that Tatum could pass for eighteen must also be president of his fan club.) Despite the nostalgia factor, we’re not convinced that audiences will jump at the chance to see another remake of a show that their older sisters probably watched. Without competition, look for “21 Jump Street” to break into the mid-teens – and then it will jump into oblivion a week later when the “Hunger Games” begin.
