Cancellations: Will "Fringe" Be Renewed by FOX?

REMEMBER WHEN “FRINGE” was new? It was the FOX flagship of fall 2008, an edgier version of the “X-Files” that promised to addict us all to Tuesday nights in a way we haven’t seen since “Must See TV.” Didn’t quite happen. Then again, it hasn’t been a disaster either. It settled into a Friday night guilty pleasure and built a cult following – and, by all accounts, it got much better as it went along, even if by then it was too late to draw a wide audience. At this point the show has made it through four seasons, but at some point FOX has to wonder if the usual 3 million viewers is really worth it, no less for an expensive show. So, yes, it seems that “Fringe” will get singed, although we do hope that Producer J.J. Abrams does get involved to drive the show to a proper finale for fans. We’ll post even odds – and we expect those odds to drop rapidly. (Day trader alert: if anyone should post a link on a “Fringe” fan site, don’t be surprised if rabid fans pump those odds to 99%. It has happened before…) 3/2/2012

I remember trying to watch Fringe when it started it was confusing, boring and I just couldn't keep up with the plots and it seemed it was going nowhere. I do think it will probably be renewed for one more season and as with a lot of t.v. shows after a while the plots really do go nowhere....

"I remember trying to watch Fringe when it started it was confusing, boring and I just couldn't keep up with the plots" Thankfully there are an abundance of mindless shows on TV for you to feast on. Fringe deserves closure, and 13 episodes should just about do it. C'mon Fox!
