30-Day Smackdown: Which Will Make More, "The Avengers" or "The Dark Knight Rises"?

BOTH HIGH-OCTANE, action-packed, ensemble-casted, and star-directed, these two comic-book-based features are predicted to bring down the house this summer. Don’t call them just another couple of summer blockbusters; these two are both headed to the top of the charts at full speed. Marvel’s The Avengers follows up a trail of Marvel-superhero action features, including Iron Man II (opening weekend $128M), Iron Man ($98M), Captain America ($65M), Thor ($65M), and The Incredible Hulk ($55M). And The Dark Knight Rises continues the Batman series as the third installment, after Batman Begins ($48M) and The Dark Knight ($158M!). Although the Marvel series has a history of producing very successful summer superhero movies, The Dark Knight Rises is poised to eclipse last summer’s chart-breaking Batman feature. We want to go with the darker stuff here, but The Avengers are already poised to give Batman a record-breaking run for his not-so-hard-earned money.

Avengers Will Win Hands Down, and Smoke the Dark Night! Bale can't touch Downey for laser precision focused, flip with the lip cerebral swagger! With the exception Superman and the Lesbian Leaning Amazon Sagas of Wonder Woman, DC overall could never hold a torch, human or otherwise, to Marvel crew! Marvel characters always were and even now are just Cooler and more potent! I for one, can not wait until some one gets the, third eye infused, vision to bring Dr Strange to life. Those Rings of Ragapour, were conjured up, for Omnimax 3D, or even better, total immersion virtual reality!! Ya Dig!!!

There is no question who will win here "THE AVENGERS" The Dark Knight" will be "in the dark" lets face it Batman can speed off in the souped up batmobile but THE AVENGERS will pushing that batmobile down the movie track and then will be neck and neck and take the flag winning numbers-- It's full speed ahead for both but there can only be one winner "THE AVENGERS" and the batmobile will be eating its dust....

I think the Avengers will not only top the Dark Knight, but, sorry folks, I believe this one will be a nasty, nasty blow-out.

the valuation in this one baffles me - i bet on the avengers and the market says its the avengers over the knight- then why is the value of my bet lowered in the (-) negative? can anyone clarify this? thanks.

LOOK,LISTEN. Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is a phenomena. Now, of course, both of them are comics and not real in any way possible but Batman is basically more powerful and realistic and honestly, not as childish as the other (not the old Batmans just this trilogy. It's darker and so action-packed that it can't be more tense. The performances are spectacular, not saying the avengers is not awesome but Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman...I think that's big. and I don't know if my facts are true but the dark knight did earn more than the avengers and since this is the last movie, with us knowing Bane is going to break batman's back, people WILL go and watch. I mean It's the last time Bale will wear the mask (I think). The avengers can have loads of sequels because they are just too damn strong with all those technologies that I'm pretty sure exceeded Batman. DUNNO JUST SAYING. supporting what I love. Im just too fucking obssessed with hi.
