Will "The Good Wife" Be Renewed by CBS?

THE “GOOD WIFE” CAN’T CATCH a break. One of the best reviewed shows in recent years, it is something of a dramatic “Arrested Development” – a subtle, nuanced, quality show that is, nevertheless, not quite at home on broadcast TV. And unfortunately like “Development,” it may die an early death. The numbers aren’t ugly, wavering between the high 9-million range and the low 11-million range. And in truth NBC executives would join the Somali pirates to get that kind of viewership. But this is CBS, where Mr. Moonves knows he’s in first place, and intends to stay there – and all those Emmys can be damned if he thinks he make room for another “Big Bang Theory” or “Hawaii 5-O.” So will the Good Wife live? Unfortunately CBS doesn’t have a cable property to which it can relegate it (Showtime doesn’t seem quite right), but in this DVR age, CBS might see fit to place it on Saturday nights and let the fans watch it that way. It’s a very tough call. Ultimately the “Good Wife” has had a good run, but we have to post less-than-even odds for this fine show.

considering how this show's already been renewed for a fourth season three weeks ago, i'd say it should have good odds don't you think? http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/03/14/cbs-renews-good-wife/

This show consistently provides suspense from episode to episode. Grown attached to the characters.
