THE FRIENDLY U.S. RIVALRY between swimmers Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte started out in this year's Summer Olympics with Lochte defeating Phelps in the men's 400m individual medley race this Saturday. Their next and last showdown will be at the men's 200m individual medley, to be held August 2. In the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, Phelps, 27, achieved 1:54.74, but Lochte, 26, was very close behind at 1:54.93.
