ALL-AMERICAN ALL-STAR Michael Phelps is back for his third Olympic Games this summer in London. Not only is this guy a six-time World Swimmer of the Year and eight-time American Swimmer of Year award winner, he's also got a cool 14 gold medals around his neck -- six from Athens in 2004, and another eight from Beijing in 2008. It was recently announced that Phelps will be slated to compete in seven events this year, although he qualified for eight. He'll be swimming the following races: the 100m and 200m butterfly, the 200m and 400m individual medleys, and three relays with his other teammates. So how many gold medals will he add to his collection in 2012? Place your bet now.

If anbody knows the tradiions and meanings behind wearing the Team USA unifom means, it is Michael. He has been through so much, and has come back from such adversity, that if anyone can do it with pride, it is him. I believe he will show us what he is truly made of and wil bring home at least 4. This should be money in my bank.

Okay 6 times World Swimmer of the year 8 times American swimmer of the year and a cool 14 medals around his neck 6 from Athens 8 from Beining. Let's see 100 mm cha ching 200 mm cha ching 400 mm cha ching 3 relays cha ching. Geez all those numbers why wouldn't he win more after all he's been through. I guess he is trying to prove or he is proving that he's still got "it" and his "it" overpowers all the adversity that hes' been through---- what a way to overcome. I'm sure it will be all gold going for Michael.
