How Much Will "Premium Rush" Gross in its Opening Weekend?

AS ONE would expect from the title, the name of the game for Premium Rush is action, action, and more action. Centered around a New York City bike messenger (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who has to deliver a rush package before a corrupt cop (Michael Shannon) can take it back from him, this movie practically screams chase sequences. Written and directed by David Koepp of Ghost Town and Secret Window, Premium Rush promises just that: a nice 120 minutes of pure adrenaline-fueled excitement. Come on, anything that's got a vulnerable protagonist getting chased through the harrowing traffic of NYC during rush hour is bound to get really hairy really fast-- but that's what we want to see, right? A straightforward, original action flick. Can it compete with all the scifi and comic book blockbusters this summer? No. But will it bring crowds? Yeah, totally. We say at least $25 million worth of them.

I would almost bet a lot of young boys that ride bicycles will be out for this one if not just to watch the "tricks of the bike" wow I used to watch three boys do wheelies over pieces of wood on cinder blocks, jump their bicycles into the air and land safely while I was closing my eyes and praying that they wouldn't break every bone in their young bodies-they never did and watching this trailer brings back those wonderfully harrowing memories of summers gone by....and even if it doesn't compete with all those reruns I do hope it brings out all 25ml worth of bike riders
