How Many Medals Will the U.S. Olympic Team Win This Year?

THE UNITED STATES has historically pulled in the highest number of medals at the Summer Olympics, more than any other country overall. The U.S. Olympic Team brought home 110 medals in Beijing in 2008, 102 in Athens in 2004, 94 in Sydney in 2000, and 101 in Atlanta in 1996 (see here for a full list). How many total medals (including all golds, silvers, and bronzes) will they scoop up in the next few weeks in London? Place your bets!

The wording of this question is the reason I laid down such a heavy amount...the question says medals...not necessarily gold and we have a great group of young men and women with such pride that I know it can be done. Look at just Michael Phelps alone, just to cite one example.
