The name alone is enough to propel this book to stardom deserved or not. Follow that up with the premise of the book and you’ve got a real winner.
sex sells
While I know the intention of the title is to imply sex, the word dirty combined with cookbook makes me think of gritty pieces of lettuce in my salad.
Okay, rabid Luc Besson fan that I am, I’m not qualified to discuss what is and isn’t great literature. But I love this. It reminds me of Nick Hornby’s “About A Boy” which I started on a plane, left on said plane and then was late for work the next morning, because I had to be at Barnes and Noble when it opened to get another copy. I think it’s sweet, sexy and funny. What can I say? I’m a sucker for romantic comedies from a male P.O.V. — and I’m an absolute fool for a man who can cook.
Love the title, catches your interest immediately and one can easily take this to the big screen. Food & sex…what more could America want?
The characers are really well set up and fun, and this is a great read for just about everyone. It should work as a movie, too.
I can totally picture the scene on the set between Victoria and Paul. I love the fact that she’s a healthy eater. I laughed out loud at the Oprah line followed up by the Amsterdam reference.
