How Much will “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” Gross in its Opening Weekend?
Tags: Box-Office

THE
MARKET: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End goes into wide release on Friday, May 25, 2007. How much will it gross domestically in its first three days as reported by Variety magazine by Monday, May 28? Each dollar of the share price represents millions of dollars in sales. Shares bought at $15, for example, would be worth $39 if the movie grosses $39 million.
THE LOWDOWN: All the stars are here again: Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley and Geoffrey Rush. This time Chow Yun-Fat and Keith Richards (huh? yes, of the Rolling Stones) join in the fun for the third edition in the franchise. The last installment, The Curse of the Black Pearl, was a record-breaking opener last year. Will the next do as well?
THE PR: From the Hollywood Reporter: “For what it’s worth, the trilogy – capping Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, represents a considerable step up from the soulless Dead Man’s Chest. Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow’s in fine flighty form and the enterprise as a whole has reconnected with some of that fun stuff that made it such a pleasant excursion when it first set sail back in 2003.” See the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End home page.

Are you SERIOUS??? 62.8 Million would top the all time record books. From what I heard, the movie is a dog.

Apparently moviegoers didn’t agree with you.
